Harnessing microbiology to tackle global challenges

Logo usage and downloads

We’d love you to include our logo on your communications and social media postings but we do have a few rules over its usage! Don’t worry they are easy to follow.

  1. The icon and logotype are always used as a lock-up so please do not use either on their own and only use what has been created within our shared logos folder or available from the download links below.
  2. The logo has full colour, mono black on white and mono white on black versions. The full colour version is the preferred one that should be used where possible on a plain background. On a colourful background the preferred version is the mono white on black one. Please do not change the colours of either the icon or the logotype as these have been designed to work together.
  3. We have produced versions of the logo that include the word ‘NORWICH’ which is intended for use when you feel you need to emphasise where the Centre for Microbial Interactions is based, such as at an international conference or when visiting external organisations. This is very much a secondary version to be used when appropriate.
  4. Exclusion zone – it is important to give the logo room to breathe so we recommend that you allow for the size of one of the microbe icons to be left clear around the perimeter of the logo block.
  5. The minimum size you should use the logo is 20mm across the horizontal axis to ensure visibility, readability and accessibility.
  6. The positioning statement should NEVER be used as part of the logo lock-up. It should be used elsewhere on a page/screen but in the approved Mulish font.
  7. Email signatures – when incorporating the logo into your email signature always have it positioned to the right of your existing layout, centre aligned to your organisation’s logo at approximately equal sizing
