I completed my PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry at King’s College London, before carrying out a 3 year post-doctoral fellowship at The University of Queensland, Australia, where I developed an interest in the interactions between food structure and gut microbiome composition.
In 2015 I established a research group at Quadram Institute. The group takes a holistic approach to research spanning from crop sciences and developing novel microbiome targeted crops, to mechanistic microbiome studies and gastrointestinal diseases.
