Biography

I am a lecturer in Marine Ecology at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich UK. My research examines the role of marine viruses in microbial ecosystem stability and ocean biogeochemistry in a changing climate. For my research, I develop global ecosystem models, and work with in-situ genomic observations and Artificial Intelligence.

I have been a Lead Author for the last Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Assessment Report IPCC AR6 in both the Chapter on Climate Change Impacts on Marine Ecosystems and the Summary for Policymakers.
